"Hands On" Endovascular Training Program
Ciné-Med's Endovascular Training program is designed for interventional cardiologists and vascular
surgeons who want to develop or expand their expertise in peripheral vascular interventions.
A formal curriculum has been designed to meet the needs for education, credentialing, clinical experience, and patient care in order to provide the most comprehensive training program available. Hands-on training in catheter-based technology and endovascular procedures is taught by leading interventional cardiologists and vascular surgeons. All participants receive a collection of resource materials including interactive CD-ROMs and practice management tools.
After participating in this hands-on training program, physicians should be able to:
Module One – Self training A review of didactic materials focusing on endovascular interventions and skills including peripheral vascular anatomy, vascular access considerations, room set-up, device and equipment options, patient selection criteria, and post operative management. Case Study CD-ROM materials are included that provide relevant case studies for PVD cases.
Module Two – Procedural training Hands-on or observational training with the course director and other instructors in the endovascular suite includes the following specific endovascular skills: diagnostic angiography, angioplasty and stenting techniques (e.g., iliac, renal, femoral-popliteal, carotids, aortic, femoral, carotid/subclavian, venous, upper extremity, etc.). Actual case experience during this module will be at the sole discretion of the course director and patient availability.

Program participants must have sufficient background knowledge, skills, and experience to participate in the course. A pre-course qualification form, which asks course applicants to provide documentation of their qualifications, must be completed and returned to Ciné-Med. The training site's course director will review materials for consideration of acceptance into the course.
For hands-on training courses, participants must obtain hospital privileges at the course site, as well as a state medical license and malpractice insurance that comply with the training facility standards. Ciné-Med will assist in this process, which may take as long as 2 months.
Ciné-Med is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Ciné-Med designates this educational activity for a maximum of 8 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM (per day). Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
